Fish Peas is created by KARAVELA – one of the leading and largest producers of canned fish and preserves in Europe.

Our major experience in dealing with fish procurement has revealed the issue of sustainable fishing and quotas, which gets a lot of attention from environmental organizations, conscious consumers and governments throughout the world.

That’s why we have decided to partner up with LATRAPS – the largest agricultural cooperative in Latvia. Recently LATRAPS has started an ambitious and promising project – production of pea isolate, which is the most sustainable plant protein in terms of carbon footprint estimations.

At first, we had our doubts about the plant-based food market, but gradually we became aware that KARAVELA’s expertise is fully applicable to this initiative. Most importantly, our involvement allows to address the pressing issue of sustainable food production.

That’s how Fish Peas brand was born. The name suggests that our product is plant-based, but at the same time is driven by our fish foods heritage.
